Wooden It Be Lovely offers hope, transitional employment, housing, and love to women healing from lives of poverty, addiction, and abuse. They do this by providing a job, mentoring, recovery tools, education, community networking, and a safe community. These women are employed to refurbish and sell donated, wooden furniture, sew unique products, and craft hand-poured candles. This transitional employment empowers women to move towards economic stability and an enhanced wellbeing for themselves and their children. Come see these unique pieces of art created by these women on display at the Dana-Thomas House during Women’s History Month.
