Springfield is lucky to be home of Springfield Walks. Garrett and his team of tour guides, have been sharing the history and mystery of Lincoln’s Springfield for the past 16 years! You can enjoy an evening in Springfield, IL as you walk in Lincoln's Footsteps and hear amazing historical stories.

 

Lincoln’s Ghost Walk Legends & Lore

This 90-minute lantern lit walk uses the Lincoln sites as the backdrop for the strange and bizarre stories surrounding Lincoln’s life and his death. Including Lincoln’s bizarre dreams of death, spiritualism and séances in the White House and skullduggery at the tomb site! This is a factual history tour that includes the ghostly lore surrounding the Lincoln’s. Not scary and is suitable for all ages.

March 17 – September 30: Wednesday – Saturday at 7:30 pm

October: Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm

The Lincoln Experience

You’ll hear stories of Lincoln; the father, husband, lawyer and aspiring politician. A half day private guided tour that moves at your pace. Hear Lincoln history and stories well beyond the constraints of site interpreters. You’ll hear about Lincoln’s funeral in Springfield, his final farewell.

Springfield’s Haunted Dead Walk

If you dare, join this expanded tour of Springfield’s haunted history over a near three hour chilling experience. It’s an easy walk with places to sit along the way. Hear bizarre and strange stories of benevolent and malevolent spirits, stalking shadow men, hidden cemeteries, poltergeists, ghosts and more! Enjoy a balance of history and ghostly tales hopefully making for a restless night’s sleep!
