Christmas at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum will be decorated for the holidays starting November 15.  From November 27 to December 31, families can come by the museum in the afternoons and take pictures next to our gorgeously decorated Christmas tree. Brief admission for pictures will be free from 4 pm - 5 pm. 

Civil War Santa (11/29 - 30 & 12/27 - 28) and Tuba Christmas performances will be an enhancement to the visitor's experience throughout the holidays.

The nine-day event is a holiday tradition and features more than 300 designed items; a centerpiece and gingerbread structure silent auction; an elaborate hand-crafted Gingerbread Village; the Candy Cane Express Train; the Little Elves’ Workshop craft area; Snapshots with Santa; a boutique full of unique gift items; hand-decorated gingerbread cookies; and entertainment featuring dozens of musical performances.

Winterland Holiday Zoo Lights

Take the walking experience and behold the splendor of hundreds of colorful twinkling lights as you stroll through the pathways around the Zoo. Children will love the zany 3D glasses (for purchase) that make the view of the colorful lights come to life with reindeer and candy cane shapes!

The Polar Express Pajama Party

Everybody in their jammies (you too, grownups!) as The Polar Express steams off on a journey to the North Pole.  
Entering the theatre, you'll be greeted by our train conductors, and receive your special train ticket. Our dining car servers will welcome you to the preshow cocoa party, where our young travelers will enjoy some crafting and cocoa before embarking on their journey, a special screening of the film "The Polar Express."

The Polar Express Pajama Party - Sensory Friendly

Entering the theatre, you'll be greeted by our train conductors, and receive your special train ticket. Our dining car servers will welcome you to the preshow cocoa party, where our young travelers will enjoy some crafting and cocoa before embarking on their journey, a special screening of the film "The Polar Express."

For guests with Autism or other sensory challenges, at this screening the theatre lights are left low, and the sound is reduced. A quiet space is available in the lower level lounge for guests who may need a break during the film.

The Preshow Cocoa Party is held in the lower level Legacy Lounge. Accessibility is limited for the physically challenged (stairs).  Please call the theatre to discuss your unique needs.
