Join a historic interpreter as they share the history of Lincoln’s New Salem, stories about the residents, and all about Abraham Lincoln by the fireplace in a historic log home.

The Fireside Chats will begin in the Visitor Center and visitors will be led on a guided walk to one of the historic homes. Guests are encouraged to dress accordingly as these events take place regardless of the weather conditions.  Fireside Chats may vary in length from 30 minutes to 1-hour. Hot chocolate refreshment provided.

This is a FREE event. Registration is not required but strongly encouraged.
