Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host a free, all day public celebration marking the two hundred and sixteenth anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site Visitor Center (426 South Seventh Street) on February 15 and February 16.
 
On Saturday, February 15, at 12:00 p.m. rangers will lead a trivia game focusing Lincoln and presidential history.
 
On Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 16 at 3:00 p.m. Lincoln Home National Historic Site will present a drama titled “A Springfield Farewell” played by accomplished veteran actors Randy Duncan and Pam Brown. The play, focusing on Lincoln’s February 11, 1861, Farewell Address to Springfield, runs approximately 30 minutes.
 
The Eastern National bookstore will host book signings Lincoln authors, Marla Harms Judge and Jan Jacobi. Marla Harms Judge will be at the Visitor Center on Saturday, February 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to sign her book Mrs. Lincoln's Birthday Surprise. Jan Jacobi will be at the Visitor Center on Sunday, February 16th from 10 AM to 4 PM. To sign his new book Lincoln and Douglas. At 11 AM Jan Jacobi will give a 30-minute presentation about his new book, Lincoln and Douglas.
 
Throughout the weekend there will be Lincoln themed crafts available at the Visitor Center.
