Anvil & Forge Brewing & Distilling

If you’re a little confused by the name, yes they are a Microbrewery of Craft Beer but in February 2019 that added the art of brewing coffee in partnership with Crown Brew Coffee Co., to accommodate the coffee loving crowd in Historic Downtown Springfield. An awesome atmosphere to sip on their top seller “Honey Brew-Keeper; a delicious blend of honey, cinnamon, lavender and vanilla while chatting it up with the fellas behind the bar.

Custom Cup Coffee

Husband and wife owned, small batch roast-to-order coffee company in Downtown Springfield. A Micro-Roastery, with freshly roasted beans every day, to deliver the freshest coffee possible. Sip on your coffee in a cozy indoor atmosphere with reclaimed wood tables from a local business, Sangamon Reclaimed, both of which are part of Enjoy Illinois’, “Illinois Made” products.

Free Press Coffee House

Quaint husband and wife owned coffeehouse that strives to go above and beyond to create an exceptional experience for their guests. Enjoy the bright atmosphere while sipping on one of their signature drinks like the Honey Vanilla Latte. They put all their passion behind the craft of providing every customer with a great cup of coffee and of course served with a smile!

On the go?? No need to get out of your car here…just pull through the drive thru and be handed some gourmet coffee through the window of fun. They’ve been serving up delicious coffee partnered with plenty of light-hearted fun for over 20 years. Enjoy an Iced Latte or one of their weekly flavors…like Jamaica Mistake or Cinnamon Cookie Dough, it’s always something new. Here’s an interesting non-coffee fact: they are known for their iconic banners outside the shop, which are designed to grab coffee lover’s attention as they drive by.

The Incubator

This is not a coffee shop per say, but they do serve up some fresh cups of coffee, as well as the classic Americano, Cappuccino and of course some delicious Lattes of many flavors. This is a great place to take a break from site seeing to catch up on emails or post some pics on social media of your visit, all while enjoying your amazing view of the Old State Capitol through the large windows.c

Wm. Vans Coffee House

This family-owned coffee shop serves up amazing coffees and teas in a historic home called the Maisenbacher Home. This home has direct ties to Lincoln himself, and as an added bonus they are across the street from Lincoln Home. So be sure to grab a cup of Joe after walking where Lincoln walked. Sip and relax in the old world charm feel inside or step out on the deck that has a view of the Illinois State Capitol. Order up one of their top sellers, Caramel Latte or be a little more risky and enjoy one of their spirit infused coffees like to Mo-Chata; a blend of Espresso, chocolate, Rum Chata and steamed milk.
