It’s cold outside but inside…nice and toasty!!

Take in a show! The UIS Performing Arts Center has countless nationally known artists and acts, as well as local performances. What about the kiddos you ask??  *Find a full listing of UIS PAC events here* Or check out the Hoogland Center for the Arts or The Legacy Theatre as they both have awesome performances throughout the year.

Head out to the Nelson Center and check out one of their two ice rinks. Rink 1 is home to our local-favorite hockey team, the Springfield Junior Blues. You’ll be on wowed by their skill and speed on the ice. Meet some fans and cheer on this NAHL-member team. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Enjoy promo nights throughout the season & the last home game is in April. Find the home game schedule here.  If you would rather take a twirl, a jump or even complete a double-axe, I'd say check out Rink 2 for a little Ice Skating Fun! Just grab a pair of ice skates and slide onto the ice during their public skate times. Times are offered almost daily with some days including a special event such as teen skate nights and light shows. Wow!! What a great family fun day on the ice! 

Looking for something more to do with your littles to wear down their energy...Check out Bounce Tag, Skyzone Trampoline Park or Erzadoozy. Or looking to keep the teens busy?? Check out Real Ax, Creekside Arcade or Amazing Xscapes Escape Room, these are sure to keep them entertained!
