June 2 - August 4: Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series: Free concerts over 10 Thursdays. On the Y Block at 4th and Jackson in downtown Springfield. Thanks for supporting the Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series, bringing our community together through the power of free, live music.

June 3 - August 7: History Comes Alive:  It's back for its 13th year this summer! See Abe & Mary as the lead a cast of characters for a trip back in time that is a must do experience. 

June 4 - August 5: Springfield Lucky Horseshoe Baseball summer league play at Robin Roberts Stadium.  Join the Shoes for more than a baseball game, promo nights, fireworks and so much more entertainment

June 15 -  19: Sangamon County Fair: Bring the family for tons of fun! Enjoy all things fair...rides, concerts and of course food. 

June 16 - 19: Juneteenth Celebration: Celebrate Freedom Day during this community wide event. Family friendly events along with music, a parade and an art exhibit at the IL State Museum

June 25: SAA Paint the Street Fest: Head on downtown for the annual Paint the Street Fest, a block party where you literally paint the streets of Downtown Springfield! Experience live music and great food while watching artists paint 300, 6 x 6 ft. squares in front of the Old State Capitol. You haven’t seen streets like this!

June 30- July 4: Stay tuned for the full announcement and line-up of 5 days of fireworks, festivals, food and tons of family fun.  Celebrate the 4th of July in the Capital City! 

Jun 3 -4: Legacy of Giving Music Festival: Looking for an exciting weekend of music that gives back? Head downtown and enjoy 60+ musical acts across 5 stages. The kiddos will have a blast in the Children's area with inflatables, face painting, kid's games, and more. And don’t you worry, Food trucks will be onsite, offering a wide variety of fare. 

June 30: Rock the Dock Independence Day Celebration: Rock the Dock is the largest firework display on water in Central Illinois! On land, we will have live music, food, beverages, and fun for all!

July 2-3: Capital City Celebration: Join the fun with a parade, family-friendly games, bands, food and fireworks in the heart of historic downtown Springfield!

July 4: Knight's 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks Show:  Top off your day at this one-of-a-kind attraction with one of the area's most popular fireworks displays. Fireworks display will be at 9:30 sharp from our private pavilion. 

July 4: Clara Irwin's Strawberry Party: An annual event, open to the public with live folk music, children's 19-century games, house tours and a shared public reading of the Declaration of Independence.  Strawberry sundaes and strawberry drinks; ice water; lemonade available for a small charge.  Event takes place 3pm-6pm at the Elijah Iles House in Springfield.  Free parking.

July 8: Abe Fest: Downtown Springfield music festival! Bringing a weekend of big-name live music, food, and drinks. Located outside on the BOS Plaza.

July 14-17: Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS: Enjoy the excitement of professional golf at the 2022 Korn Ferry Tournament at Panther Creek Country Club!  Free admission for all, sponsored by Visit Springfield.

July 29 - 30: Downhome Music Fest: Listen to live local bands perform at this family friendly event. Also enjoy a variety of craft beer.

August 5 - 6: Abe Lincoln Car Show Spectacular & Super Cruise: The show features both air and ground displays. Enjoy the Super Cruise on Friday night and the Car Show on Saturday. 

August 11 - 21: Illinois State Fair:  No summer is complete without going to the Illinois State Fair. This is one of the oldest state fairs in the United States. Enjoy fair food and fun. Experience livestock shows, exhibits, contests and harness racing and more. Make sure to get your tickets to this year’s Grandstand Acts! 

September 3: Springfield Oyster & Beer Festival: This event has raised over $87,000 for area charities! Features over 130 different types of Craft Beers, 5000+ Gourmet Oysters, Live Music and Local Food Trucks. Having a good time is much easier when it's for a great cause. 

September 3 - 4: Springfield Mile: Enjoy fast-paced action and non-stop thrills of national level motorcycle racing at the Multi Purpose Arena and on the fastest mile dirt track. 

September 23 - 25: 21st Annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival!  You definitely want to be here for this weekend packed with amazing cars, delicious food and bands, bands and more bands!
