Anthony discusses the architectural styles, materials and treatments that make of the heart of this historic area. Tours begin in front of the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices, corner of the Old State Capitol Plaza, (6th & Adams Streets).
Here I Have Lived Exhibits
Life-sized bronze statues bring to life the daily happenings of the town in which Lincoln lived. A collection of more than 30 outdoor exhibits allow visitors to approach, touch and even take rubbings of the medallions that symbolize each story.

Oak Ridge Cemetery Walk by Springfield Walks

Most state site interpreters are hired seasonally and have limited knowledge of Lincoln.
Guides are familiar with site policies, procedures, and the nuances of visiting the sites.
Save time trying to figure out maps, the streets, and the location of the sites, maximize your time. Get the most useful information about where the locals eat, drink, and shop.
All of our guides are local and have a working knowledge of all there is to do and see while in town, including the "off the tourist path" things.
The Lincoln Experience
On this 9 am -3 pm day tour, I'm going to take you to the Lincoln sites and present historical details well beyond the contraints of site interpreters. You'll hear the human stories of Lincoln: the father, husband and the lawyer. I'll even tell you the story of Lincoln's Springfield funeral, his final farewell. First, I'm going to find out what intrigues you about Lincoln. I want your visit to Lincoln's Springfield to be meaningful and memorable. I want us to part ways with you having connected to Lincoln in your own way, having your very own Lincoln Experience to last a lifetime. This personalized tour may not be for everyone, it can be intensive Lincoln but we'll go at your pace. This tour covers the Lincoln home, the Old State Capitol, the Lincoln Tomb and Oak Ridge Cemetery, additional sites possible based on time and your interests. Cost: $150 flat fee up to 5 people.
