Cubs vs. Cardinals: The Rivalry at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
Now - December 31: Daily: 9 am - 5 pm
Visitors will see rare artifacts and photographs. They’ll learn about legendary players like Mordecai Brown and Rogers Hornsby and newer stars like Jake Arrieta and Yadier Molina. They’ll also be able to interact with the exhibit by sharing their own Cards-Cubs memories, answering trivia questions and playing a home run derby as their favorite team. “The Rivalry” was developed in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, an unprecedented partnership from all three organizations for an exhibit of this type.

Kings & Queens: Pinball, Imagists and Chicago Exhibition at the Illinois State Museum
Now - August 11: Monday - Saturday: 9am - 4:30 pm, Sunday: Noon to 4:30 pm
This interactive exhibition is an examination of the intertwined history of two of Chicago’s greatest exports: pinball and imagist painting. Guests are invited to play pinball on Chicago-built pinball machines alongside paintings, sculptures and prints inspired by them, including works by Roger Brown, Ed Flood, Gladys Nilsson, Ed Paschke, Christina Ramberg, Suellen Rocca, Barbara Rossi, Karl Wirsum and Ray Yoshida. The exhibition also features original works by Constantino Mitchell a long time pinball artist. Pinball was but one inspiration for these artists, along with the city’s many color storefronts, campy product ads, and hand painted and neon commercial signs.

Flag Lowering Ceremony at Lincoln Tomb
Every Tuesday: 7 pm
The 114th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry - Reactivated performs civil war drills, fires their muskets and holds a flag lowering ceremony in front of the Lincoln Tomb. Each week, one lucky visitor will be presented with the American Flag as a symbol of our gratitude.

75th Annual Midwest Charity Horse Show in the Illinois State Fairgrounds
Tuesday - Saturday: 10:30 am - 1 pm & 6:30 pm - 9 pm
One of the premier horse shows in the United States, the Midwest Charity Horse Show features American Saddlebred, Roadster, Morgan and Arabian horses and Hackney ponies. Since its inception, the Midwest Charity Horse Show, an all-volunteer organization, has donated its annual proceeds to a Springfield area charity.

Old Capitol Farmers Market in Downtown Springfield
Every Wednesday: 8 am - 12:30 pm
The Old Capitol Farmers Market can be found in the heart of Downtown Springfield. At the market, you’ll find local farm and artisan vendors selling fresh produce, artisanal baked goods and cheeses, flowers and more. The market is just steps from the Old State Capitol historic site and you’ll find other sites like the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln Home and Dana-Thomas House a Frank Lloyd Wright Design nearby!

Concert at the Carillon at Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon
Every Wednesday: 6:30 pm
A half an hour, outdoor, live concert with a great variety of music, played by the resident carillonist on the 67-bell Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon.

Sangamon County Fair at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds
Wednesday - Sunday: 8 am
County fair fun at its best! You'll find hands-on agricultural exhibits, a great carnival, nationally known entertainment and a variety of concessions.

Crossroads Pro Rodeo Association at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds
Wednesday: 7 pm
The festivities will be kicked off at 7pm with a Muttin’ Bustin’ competition for local kids then followed by Barrel Racing, Clown Acts, Bull riding and wrapping up with fireworks! FREE (included with General Admission)

Willy Wonka at the Springfield Muni
Wednesday - Sunday: 8:30 pm
Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to chocolate-covered life. The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale.

Illinois Products Farmers Market in the Illinois State Fairgrounds
Every Thursday: 4 pm - 7 pm
The Commodities Pavilion will come alive with local Illinois vendors, entertainment, and health-related activities. Products range from produce, meat, eggs, plants, specialty products, wine and beer - all produced right here in Illinois.

Juneteenth Celebration at Comer Cox Park
Saturday & Sunday: 8 am - 8 pm
Juneteenth is the oldest African American Celebration in the United States and is celebrated worldwide. The 2 day event will include a kick off parade, stage activities and entertainment with a variety of vendors and the Father Son Basketball All Star games.

Gun Show-and-Tell by Darin Miller at the Korean War National Museum
Saturday: 2 pm
Re-enactor Darin Miller will discuss the various weapons the soldiers would have been equipped with on the battlefields of Korea. The display and presentation includes M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M1911 pistol, Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), the Thompson sub machine gun, grenades and more. Following the presentation, guests will have a chance to hold some of the demilitarized pieces discussed.

Lincoln Land Charity Championship at Panther Creek Golf Course
Monday - Sunday: Times TBA
The Lincoln Land Charity Championship is an inaugural event on the Web.com TOUR. The Championship will consist of an 156-player field, competing for a purse of $550,000. World Golf Hall of Fame Member Hale Irwin designed Panther Creek’s 7,244-yard course in 1992. All net proceeds generated by the tournament will benefit local charities. Former Web.com TOUR players include Zach Johnson, Bubba Watson, and Martin Flores.
