Cubs vs. Cardinals: The Rivalry in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum
Now - 12/31/2017: Daily: 9 am - 5 pm
Visitors will see rare artifacts and photographs. They’ll learn about legendary players like Mordecai Brown and Rogers Hornsby and newer stars like Jake Arrieta and Yadier Molina. They’ll also be able to interact with the exhibit by sharing their own Cards-Cubs memories, answering trivia questions and playing a home run derby as their favorite team. “The Rivalry” was developed in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, an unprecedented partnership from all three organizations for an exhibit of this type.

Michiko Itatani: Celestial Visions in the Illinois State Museum
Now - 6/5/2017: Monday-Saturday 9 am to 4:30 pm, Sunday Noon to 4:30 pm
Michiko Itatani is one of Chicago's most well-respected contemporary artists. This exhibition features new acquisitions of drawings and prints alongside installation-based and heroically scaled figurative paintings from the Museum’s Fine Art Collection. The Commodities Pavilion will come alive with local Illinois vendors, entertainment, and health-related activities. Products range from produce, meat, eggs, plants, specialty products, wine and beer - all produced right here in Illinois.

The Three Musketeers at Theatre In The Park - New Salem

This Swashbuckling adaptation by noted playwright, Ludwig, highlights both humor and heroism
as the young D'Artagnan and his sister Sabine as they face challenges that help them become
the noble mature hero/heroines that their parentage and destiny compel them to be.

Forever Plaid at the Hoogland Center for the Arts
Friday - Saturday: 8 pm; Sunday: 2 pm
"Forever Plaid" is one of the most popular and successful musicals in recent times. When four young singers are killed in a car crash, they posthumously take the stage for one final gig in this goofy, 1950s nostalgia trip. This hilarious revue is chock-full of classic barbershop quartet harmonies and pitch-perfect melodies!

Abe's River Race on the Sangamon River
Saturday: 8 am - 3 pm
Abe's River Race is a timed race for competitive paddlers or a more leisurely paddle for non-competitors. Many racing divisions for men, women and youth -- all with cool prizes and some cash available too! All paddlers will have the opportunity to explore approximately 13.5 miles of the lower Sangamon River as it flows north from Sangamon County past Lincoln's New Salem Historic Site to Petersburg, IL! We encourage you all to dress your boat, dress your paddle, and, of course, dress yourself. Get your Abe on!
